Universal’s Superstar Parade has been gracing the streets of Universal Studios Florida for four years, and Universal Studios have just announced that they will be making a new addition to the parade!
“This December, you’ll be able to laugh along with (and even talk to!) your favorite characters from The Secret Life of Pets with two new parade floats and an upbeat musical performance.
When I heard The Secret Life of Pets was joining the parade line-up, I jumped at the opportunity to be a part of bringing it to life. I love the movie and hilarious characters – my favorite of which is Norman the guinea pig.”
“The fun kicks off with Max and his friend Duke welcoming you to New York. Their float is themed around fall in Central Park, as seen in the title sequence of the film.
The main float is themed to the apartments of the Big Apple. You’ll get a sneak peek at what the pets do when their owners are away. You’ll see familiar characters from the film like Leonard, Gidget, Chloe and more.”
Universal plans to include Parkour gymnasts that will flip, balance and rebound across the floats to a rockin’ musical soundtrack, while dancers take to the streets with an edgy rhythm.
Lora Wallace, Show Director for Universal Orlando’s Creative Development team, says, “Now, here’s one of my favorite parts about this new addition: multiple times throughout the day, you’ll get to meet the stars from The Secret Life of Pets as the floats and performers put on a special show in front of Mel’s Drive-In. This will be your chance to talk to your favorite pet characters and take pictures. Adorable!”
The new floats are set to debut next month, so be on the look out for all your favorite characters!
